Located 50 minutes South of Atlanta, drenched in history, Meadowlark 1939 is reminiscent of english inspired gardens coupled with the hospitality of southern charm. With crawling ivy, magnolia trees, statues and statuettes, clear pools, and pathways to wander, we have cultivated an atmosphere where relationships and meaningful moments thrive, and it all starts with a venue visit where you can experience the beauty and heart of Meadowlark 1939 and her caretakers. We promise one step on the property you will “feel” the romantic wedding venue you’ve been dreaming of.
The Ingram family has owned this richly historic property since 1939, when they purchased the original 1891 farmhouse. Frank Ingram and his wife, Rhoda Hopson Ingram, renovated the old farmhouse and began the gardens. With a true love for gardening, Rhoda Hopson envisioned pathways and allees to meander through cozy garden rooms which came to fruition through out her life. Years later, her grandson Jay Averett, alongside the property’s caretakers AP and Alea Moore, resurrected the breathtaking property once again, as Meadowlark 1939.
